Annotating Articles in Publisher

One of the key features of LexisNexis Publisher is the ability to add value to published articles through the “Annotation” feature. You can add comments, links, diagrams, and even files (which can be stored on the LexisNexis servers). These will be displayed next to the article in your choice of either the document list, the full document view, or both. You can use this to provide additional context to the importance of an article, or to warn against perceived editorial bias.

In order to annotate an article, you must move it to the “Staged” tab. This is best done by clicking on a topic name in “Topics Home”, selecting the article of interest and clicking on “Stage Selected”. You will then need to click on “Lock to Annotate”. From here you will have the choice of what annotation to make. Once you’re happy with the end result, clicking on “Unlock document” will release it to be moved to the “Published” tab.

Under the “Administration” tab of Publisher, there is a section called “Attachments”. This allows you to delete any document attachments you no longer need.
