Terms & Conditions

The promoter of this competition is Reed International Books Australia Pty Limited trading as LexisNexis® Australia, 475-495 Victoria Avenue, Chatswood, NSW, 2067 ABN 70 001 002 357.

The information on the LexisNexis® website and in other relevant communications form part of these terms and conditions. To the extent of any inconsistency, the terms and conditions below apply.

LexisNexis® Australia (LexisNexis) reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions from time to time as it thinks fit, provided however that any such amendment shall not in any way affect any awards already made pursuant to these terms and conditions.

LexisNexis® reserves the right to make broad adjustments to the proposed project to ensure optimal relevance for the association and the wider profession. The submission deadline is 11:59pm AEST on 17 July 2015.

1. Binding terms

If you enter the LexisNexis® & Janders Dean Legal Innovation Index 2015 (the Index), you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions. By entering the Index you are entering into an agreement with LexisNexis® on the terms set out below.

2. Submissions

Entry is strictly via an online entry form found at http://lexisnexis.com.au/_legal-innovation-index. Entries must be submitted online by 11:59pm AEST on 17 July 2015.

3. Submitting an entry

Entrants warrant that all information they supply is not misleading or deceptive. Entrants can only nominate once.

4. Nominees status

Nominees can be any sized legal firm, private practice and in-house legal teams or individual across Australia and New Zealand.

5. Exclusion of Entries

LexisNexis® may exclude your entry in certain circumstances, such as, but is not limited to: the nominees' status does not conform to the requirements stipulated in Clause 4 or; the entry was received after the closing date for awards entries. You agree that LexisNexis® decision on these matters is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

6. The judging process

All commercially sensitive data will be held in confidence and LexisNexis® & Janders Dean Legal Innovation Index 2015 judges must agree to and sign a Confidentiality Agreement prior to commencing adjudication. LexisNexis® will arrange for the adjudication of entries by an external party in accordance with the rules developed by LexisNexis. You agree that the decisions are final in all circumstances. Judges will assess all entries per form(s) submitted. Those five with the highest ranking score will be selected for the Index (from each category).

7. Promotion

LexisNexis® reserves the right to use all non-pecuniary information contained in your submission to promote the awards

8. The trophy and logo stamp

The LexisNexis&re; & Janders Dean Legal Innovation Index 2015 trophy and logo stamp remain the property of the LexisNexis, to which you agree unreservedly by entering the Index. The logo stamp recipients can only promote their position on the index for a period of five years from the first anniversary date of the presentation of the Index position.
