Katherine Keane

BA, LLB (Hons)

After graduating with degrees in law and political science from the University of Queensland, Katherine lived and worked for many years in South-East Asia, South Asia and Africa, designing and managing community development projects in the legal, media and health fields. This work exposed Katherine to the push and pull factors driving internal and cross-border economic and humanitarian migration flows. Upon her return to Australia in 2011, Katherine commenced practising in the Australian immigration law space, focusing on corporate, skilled and family migration. Katherine applied her project management skills to assist some of Australia’s largest businesses manage their immigration programmes, with a strong focus on compliance and best practice.

In her current role as a Legal Practitioner Director of Nomos Legal, Katherine’s legal interests lie in the family and humanitarian immigration law space. Katherine also specialises in advisory work with corporate and non-profit clients to solve complex problems, design and implement projects and build their enterprises.
