Rita Chowdhury is a Partner of Withers, a top tier international law firm. Rita leads the Australian immigration practice and is also Managing Director of the firm's Sydney office. Rita is one of Australia’s leading immigration lawyers and is viewed as an expert in the area of corporate immigration advice and business and investment migration. Rita is the current Deputy Chair, Migration Law Committee of the Law Council of Australia.

Rita established her career at a large international law firm where she led the Australian corporate immigration practice. Thereafter she joined one of the big four accounting firms before joining Withers and establishing the firm's Australian operations. Rita's clients range from entrepreneurs and small businesses to large multinational companies.

She is recognised for her ability to understand her clients’ business needs and aspirations and provide commercial solutions and strategic advice. Rita is known, both in Australia and internationally, for providing high quality client service and for her technical knowledge.

Rita is a trusted advisor to other law firms and is regularly asked to present seminars and provide training to other lawyers. She is also a casual lecturer in the Australian National University's Migration Law Program.
