Richard John Douglas QC

Richard is a litigation Barrister and Queen's Counsel appearing in many leading cases construing the Queensland Civil Liability Act 2003, Personal Injuries Proceedings Act 2002, Workers' Compensation & Rehabilitation Act 2003 and Criminal Proceeds Confiscation Act 2002 (Qld).

Richard was also the Senior Counsel assisting the Queensland Hospitals Inquiry in 2005 and was the President of the Bar Association of Queensland between 2009—2011.

He is the Principal author of LexisNexis publications Civil Liability Australia (loose-leaf/online) and Annotated Civil Liability Legislation — Queensland, 3rd Edition.

Richard was admitted to the Bar in 1980 and elevated to the rank of Senior Counsel in 1998. He is a current member of the Bar Association of Queensland.
