Kathryn Dent

Kathryn is a Law Society Accredited Specialist in the area of Employment and Industrial Law. She holds a Masters of Labour Law and Relations and is a director of People + Culture Strategies, a specialist workplace law firm.

For in excess of 13 years, eight of those as a partner in a national law firm, Kathryn has practised exclusively in the area of workplace relations law. She has provided advice and representation to employers in a broad range of industries on matters including employment contracts and policies, independent contractor agreements, discrimination, harassment, bullying, management of injured workers, workplace investigations, occupational health and safety including WorkCover investigations and coronial inquests, interpretation and negotiation of industrial instruments, industrial disputes, privacy and workplace surveillance, restraints of trade, confidential information, intellectual property, disciplinary issues, redundancies and terminations of employment, transmissions of business, underpayment claims, Fair Work Ombudsman investigations and audits.

Kathryn authors a number of guide cards in the LexisNexis Workplace Law – Fair Work service, namely: Workplace Discrimination, Workplace Surveillance and Restraints of Trade. Kathryn was admitted to practice in NSW in 1994.
